Design Brief

Nestled in Waterfall Gully, this garden for Jarrod & Christie was designed to transform their sloping block into a natural haven for their young family. With a focus on native garden design and nature play theories, the space encourages exploration and creativity while blending seamlessly with the surrounding environment. The garden features diverse native plantings that enhance biodiversity and create natural play elements. These design choices foster imaginative play and a deep connection to nature, providing a space where the children can learn and grow and the family enjoys an inviting gathering area in harmony with the landscape.

It all begins with an idea. I love to learn about how the client wants to use their space, listening to their desires always brings out the best landscapes. This Balnarring project is no different, low maintenance and connection to the neighbourhood were key. - Drew Burns
